A family oriented non-profit club

The Nanaimo Motocross Association is a non-profit organization that operates on a combination of membership dues, sponsorship contributions and donations. The association was formed 30 years ago and is entirely volunteer run. Our members range from as young as four years old all the way up to 50 plus, and include both men and women.

Each year NMA hosts VIMX Series races in addition to three other island tracks: Port Alberni, Campbell River and Tri-Port. Nanaimo has hosted rounds of the Canadian Pro National Championships and we are proud to have it regularly described by national riders, promoters and the media as one of the best and most challenging tracks in Canada. Our Wastelands Motocross Park is open year round for riders to practice casually or train for the race season.

In addition to the VIMX races, NMA hosts many different events throughout the year, including club races, MX schools, Red Rider events, Tuesday Night Kids Rides (2025 is on Monday nights; follow Monday Night Kids on Facebook), RC events and enduro events.

Mission statement: "The Nanaimo Motocross Association is a family oriented non-profit club committed to promoting organized motocross in the region. This is accomplished by providing our members a safe environment for riders of all skill levels to enjoy the sport of motocross and spend time with family and friends."
